Jenny's Mouthwash: Lana Del Rey Re-Visited

I have a confession to make:

I like Lana Del Rey.

This might not seem like a big deal to you. Chances are, you're a fan.

The reason this revelation is so distressing to me is because I debuted my Jenny's Mouthwash on this blog last October with a post revealing the truth behind Lana. It was actually quite a controversial post.

New Fall Purchases

If someone had told me that I would get this excited to purchase a pair of Uggs, and also intend on wearing them out of the house, I would have patted them on the head, checked their temperature and then put them to bed. 

But alas...never say never, because this happened. 

The Long and Lean Jean

 It seems that fall arrived a little early, or that Northern California is having a rather unusual shift in weather: the high today was 66. I don't know about the rest of the country, but for me that is cold! Well deserving of a blazer, if you ask me.

Fall Wishlist 2012

I always get so excited about fall: I day dream about misty foggy mornings, green grass covered in the morning dew, and the sweet smell of the ripened vineyards that I have come to love. The annual crush is coming up, and in October I will fall asleep to the low hum of the giant vineyard fans all month long. My birthday rings in the fall season. The pumpkin patch has already been planted, and I [secretly]have already starting to plan my Thanksgiving Dinner menu (which I make from scratch, all by myself every year).
I figure that if I have been obsessing over pieces that I can't wait to add to my closet for fall, you must be too! Below I share some of the items that have been on my mind the most. What are you excited for?

Sweet Disposition

Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap has to be one of my favorite songs. It exudes such a happy demeanor. This song has helped me through many a grey sky, and now with the warm sunshine of summertime, this song seems all the more perfect. It's the perfect compliment to the shoes and dress, wouldn't you say?

 This past week was a celebration of denim! All throughout Denim Week I shared with you my favorite styles and cuts of jeans. Do you have a favorite from this past week?

Denim Week: The Capri Jean

Some could say that I saved the best for last: the denim capri jean. Capris tell us that the season of nostalgia has arrived: summer! A time of popsicles, warm nights, fireflies, s'mores over the fire and cool fresh fruit. It's a time free from homework and days spent at the river or beach. Perfection, really. Best of all, we get to wear capris: bring out the ankles after they have been burried under wool socks from winter and rainboots from spring.

Denim Week: The Bootcut Jean

 Ah, the bootcut jean. Quite possibly the all time world over favorite. I'm willing to bet that every girl, woman and child who has owned (or currently owns) a pair of jeans, has owned a pair of bootcut jeans. There are so many variations of the bootcut it's mind blowing; And just like shorts, this is definitely a style that everyone can wear.

 I don't quite remember when the infamous skinny jean originally hit the scene, but it seems they've got some strong staying power. I have a love/hate relationship with skinny jeans. Unrelenting, and at times rather unforgiving, they seem to divide denim wearers into two parties: those who favor the bootcut, and those who swear by their skinnies.
