Very few colors make me as happy as fuchsia does. I find the color to be absolutely magical. Throw in some silky texture and a bit of wind, and you've got yourself a Kodak moment.

Purchased this green little number a while ago! Six months perhaps? I call it my Kelly bag - probably the closest I'll ever come to a real one (is it okay that I'm okay with that?).

Sometimes our closets can surprise us - which is what happened for me for today's outfit. Nothing in this outfit is new, and two of the items are thirfted. Sometimes when you find yourself in a moment of closet despair ("I have nothing to wear!"), all it takes is closing your eyes and grabbing two items from opposite ends of your wardrobe, and seeing what you've pulled out.

Freedom, like a single note played in a symphony, is as abstract a thought as the art of music itself.  It swells, crescendos, and in a fleeting moment is gone. Can you chase music? Can you hold it tight between your fingers and never let it go? Store it in a jar for display on a shelf?

New Friends

 Eloise made quite the little friend this weekend. Last week I tweeted that I had just seen a humming bird while on my balcony. Turns out the little guy lives right in the tree that is right behind us. Eloise and the bird first discovered each other early last week when the humming bird flew right up to the window that Eloise was sitting in. Both became instant friends. They have had their morning meet ups everyday since.

I have a difficult time purchasing practical items. If given a choice between buying a little black dress that will go with anything, or a blue tutu lined in sequins, I will buy candy (Junior Mints!).

Goose & Gander

This past Friday my dear friend Jesse invited me to try out a new restaurant in St. Helena (my old stomping grounds from college days), called Goose & Gander. It would be an understatement to say that the place was amazing. For those of you familiar with the Wine Country, it is where the old Martini House once was.

Flowers of May

A heatwave has once again come to Northern California, and (as usual) I couldn't be happier about it. There is something about the suffocating heat that just makes me come alive like a live wire - I thrive. I have been seeing roses in bloom everywhere: and it seems the heat only makes their scent all the more sweet. I thought this dress was an appropriate way to honor them.

Lush

Yesterday morning I shared on Instagram my newest addition to my closest! Oddly enough when I brought it home on Wednesday, the sun was shining. Today - it's been raining all day. Never one to let the weather dictate my wardrobe, I braved the cold gusts of wind in my new top. Besides, gray weather calls for bright colors!
