From the majority of heartache that I have suffered in my life, it has not been because of my attachment to people, but places. When I tell a friend that I am in “love” with Paris, I do not mean that the city is simply a favorite destination of mine. What I mean is that the city as a whole caught my eye, quietly wrapped its firm but gentle hand around mine, led me down a small and winding cobblestone street and held me close...and did not let go until morning.
This weekend it seemed that Spring had fled, and that summer was in full swing. With temperatures in the low 90's, I found myself wondering why I had brought en extra layer (okay okay, I really wanted to mix patterns. Heat be darned!).
My dear readers. Right now I am currently wearing: a bathing suit. A white pettiskirt, and a striped dress. I had a an outfit post planned for you, however, some drink that contains "puerto rican" in it's name got in the way. I don't know what it means. I don't quite understand what my outfit means, but it means something. I went swimming. (Hence the bathing suit. I hope.)

Getting an Alice in Wonderland point of view with my new camera lens (50mm, f1.8). It's like seeing a whole new world of wonder through a pair of magical goggles. Hello bokeh.
Have you ever said or done something that you wish you could take back? Words are a powerful device - they can do so much good, or so much incredible harm. For me some of my biggest regrets aren't over what I have said, but what I haven't.
With so many social media outlets today, such as Pinterest, Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Instagram updating these accounts can quickly become more and more of the same without much variety within one account (I post a photo on Instagram, share it on Facebook and Twitter, I blog here, and share it on all outlets, etc). Boring right?
Am I getting a little carried away with the videos? I'm still honing in on the craft, but I have to say - I'm having a blast getting a grip on this learning curve. I have so many questions! Such as, is there a video editing program that allows for filters? Do any of you know?
The moving process is coming along slow and steady. I took photos of the apartment before it got all cluttered (I need to become a minimalist, I swear). I'll be sure to upload those soon. Poor Eloise isn't taking the move too kindly; she meows all night. (Of course, no idea why...?) Painters arrive sometime next week to give the place a splash of color. I'll be sure to post photos of that too!

Virginia Woolf once famously (or infamously, depending on your point of view) wrote that a woman could never reach her full potential without "a room of ones own". While the strong independent part of me wants to rally against the the majority of what she was implying, part of me knows that finally having a space where I can feel safe, secure and happy in will make all the difference in the world for me and my quality of life.
