Leonor Fini. Hands down my favorite artist of all time. Some say she was a surrealist, others that she could not be defined by one movement alone. In truth, much of her and her art is a mystery. She loved cats - the original catwoman. She believed the female to be cat-like, mysterious and dangerous. Her mother disguised her as a boy until age 12 from fear that her father would kidnap her. She drove museum curators crazy with her antics, and believed men were best for lovers not husbands - although she married twice. She lived to be 99 years old. 23 cats attended her funeral.
The title of the post shares it's namesake with the first painting.

 Today's outfit was pretty simple. Didn't feel like doing too much; but still wanted to have an edge. Ever have those days?
I made these earrings today. I just love them! I think the real feather puts the perfect touch on it. I have enough to make another pair; thinking of selling them on my Etsy...

For the award, I'm supposed to tell ten things about myself:

1. I know it's strange, but other people coughing drives me absolutely nuts.
2. I own two (2!) bracelets. Yes that's right...2.
3. No one at work knows my real age. I keep giving them different ages.
4. Every couple of months I get this...panic attack(?) And I clean out my closet, and dump nearly half of it at the local Goodwill. Weird, I know.
5. I have finally gotten the Twilight fever. Read the first book in 7 hours. Now finishing the 2nd.
6. I wash my face with olive oil. No soap.
7. My cat won't drink milk. But she will drink my coconut milk. And eat marshmellows; however Red Vines are her favorite.
8. I was born in Washington DC, and have lived in California, Louisiana, Colorado, Hawai'i, and even moved to France. By myself.
9. I have created theme songs for both of my pets (guinea pig and kitty)
10. I have never owned a car.

I would be lying if I were to say that I was super excited about these shoes. Sure, I was stoked when I bought them...Finally! A comfy pair of walking shoes! But then, it dawned on me that the very thing I refused to carry on my shoulder would now be all over my feet.

All hesitation left when I stepped out of the house yesterday morning. Once I realized people weren't stopping in their tracks and pointing and screaming "Loathsome turncoat!!" I exhaled.

No friggin' in the riggin!

This outfit is from yesterday; a woman actually yelled at me for the blazer. "It's too hot to wear a sweater!!" she screamed. Um, it's a blazer.
And, later in the day she was kinda right. But I kept it on just to spite her...wherever she may have been.
This tee is so awesome! It reads "No friggin' in the Riggin". Not quite sure what that means. My mom got it during her visit to the Bahamas and it's super comfy.
