Pain au chocolat a la plage de Toulon

This was actually my last decent morning spent in Toulon. But, It was a good one. Spending the morning at the shore of the Mediterranean Ocean with a pain au chocolate? Can't be beat.

Aix

Yesterday i took a day trip to Aix-en-Provence. The day was filled with chatty handsome men, free museums, sudden rains (that left just as quickly), Cezanne painting scenes, bustling cafes, cobblestone streets, sun-washed buildings....and a lonely street which I wandered down, with someone playing Spanish guitar from their window.

On the way home, I got pulled into a train by men, literally stuffed with my local (Toulon) rugby tream, fresh from a match. Standing room only has never been so much fun!

France sure knows how to romance a girl.

Fisrt Rainy day of Fall

Today is the first day that it's raining here in France for the fall. Watching rain fall on a pool has a rather calming affect on me. Lovely, but melancholy too.

Shower Time...un fois

I apologize to those of you who visited yesterday. I am trying to reformate the blog. But, at 1am, I called it quits. All better now!

I'm having a hard time believing that summer is coming to a close. Especially down here in France! The weather is beautiful - haven't seen a cloud in two days. I will be posting photos of mon chez moi very soon!

Making new friends, saying goodbye to old ones

I leave for France tomorrow. I haven't been able to stop crying for the past week. Naturally I am extactic - French Riviera, c'mon! But, I'm also leaving the love of my life...
My boyfriend and I went over to a friends house, and while there, I made some new friends!

Full and Cinched

I have been a craving a tutu ever since I started Sex and the City - which was long before I ever saw tutu's anywhere (as opposed to everywhere now from Macy's mannequins to Spencer's gifts).
So! I made this one. 15 yards, 18 layers, and 3 separate sewings. My favorite DIY so far




And nails of the day! China Glaze's For Audrey. I actually wore this to the Tiffany store in Union Square yesterday. The lady's there got such a kick out of it.
