In a state of panic

The Piensa Mas Alla event is coming up in a matter of days. As in Friday. And I haven't a thing to wear. I have scoured every mall, shop, store for a dress, and all I can seem to find is glittery, tulle filled dresses or stretch cotton summer things. I am stressed. I am going crossed eyed. I am tried of crying. I need serious help.
I have nothing to wear.
I ran to my closet to solicit the help of a little black dress only to find that it was too...little. It's too short to wear to an event such as this. Plus, I didn't want to wear black. I wanted to wear a jewel tone.
I own a Betsey Johnson that I am thinking might be my only choice, only, I am none too enthused about wearing it. If I have to wear it to this event I may end up hating the thing.

Help?

I asked for my boyfriends help, and he kept handing me cotton. Cotton. Cotton for an evening event in San Francisco at $75 a ticket. No. No. No. What am I going to do?

Haven

I have been spending a lot of time here lately. It feels like I am sleeping in the trees; which has brought me to the conclusion that there is nothing better.

If only I had your wallet

I know, I know. I'm a little late to the party on this one. Fashionably late? Whatever the term for my timing, all I know is that I am in love. Polyvore has got to be the best thing that has happened to me - now only if I had a wallet fat enough to supply me with the shopping means.

REVO Fashion Show

This past weekend was the REVO Fashion Show/Benefit. Every year for the past 3 years REVO has chosen a cause to support/fund. Last year was the Not For Sale campaign (keeping young children off the streets and out of prostitution in Peru), and this year was the Napa Valley Food Bank. This year I was the fashion show coordinator. So much responsibility - but I absolutely loved every second of it. From choosing the designers, taking them shopping, reviewing their lines, the run-throughs, finding the DJ and stylists, manning the fashion show, I loved it all. As you can see from the photos, the event was a huge success! Over $5000.00 raised to help the local community.











A very tired me at the end. Tried to upload the video, but I have no uncensored words to describe how frustrating that was.

The Ultimate Wear of the Day

Oh I am SO kidding! I thought that this would be hilarious - get you to do a double take (or two). Wouldn't this be the ultimate outfit to wear?

No no that is not what I wore. Rather, I wore this:


I love this skirt so much!! I'm not really into corduroy, but this just stole my heart. The toggle button is leather, along with the piping that you see. I found it in a vintage shop, no size or washing instructions, only a Pour Mes Amis tag inside. I tried researching the label, but nothing came of it. I ended up adding an Egyptian scarf from my boyfriend (bought it for me in Ciaro!) to the outfit along with this plad coat that a friend gave me. I only have a cell phone photo of the outfit as a whole...But I suppose it's better than nothing!

Note to Self...

Fur and rain don't mix. Same goes for silk. The rain is back full force in Northern California, and I would rather it go away. However with the drought, I suppose there are larger things at hand.
