There is a mild frustration of attending a college who's campus resembles that of a mountain goats dream. Hence the fantasy of wearing heels, and then giving into flats.

Deck the Walls
I recently was offered an internship in a wonderful interior design boutique. I just walked in. I opened my mouth, I said "Hi" and things like "Marie Antoinette" and "Would look great on the ceiling"The lady then handed me her card and said "internship?"
For this quarter I signed up for Illustrator. I decided one morning that I absolutely had to learn the program. I am so glad that I am! Our next few assignments are to create wallpaper patterns.
Fashion is certainly a passion, and I am a strong believer that fashion not only belongs on us, but also belongs on the walls. Wallpaper has long outgrown it's cheesy, cheap reputation. Wallpaper to me spells style, luxury and ambiance. It can create a mood, lend a punch of color and brighten up the entire area. Here are some of my favorites.

Images are used from Cavern Wallpaper and Graham & Brown. I hope you enjoyed!I cannot wait to get to work to see what sort of pattern I will come up with!

Getting Warm
I'm already getting excited for swinwear season. I'm starting to put the color pallet together of the "summer ensemble" of water and beach friendly outfits. I'm also working out like crazy. Since I can't contain my excitement for the season, I thought that I would share some of it with you.
But before I do, I would like to give a nod to Michelle Obama, along with Jason Wu:
I am in love with this enthrall gown! The simplicity of the jewelry, along with the flattering cut of the dress, the toned arms... She makes this look so easy. The last time a First Lady of the White House had so much effortless style was over 40 years ago. I'm not calling her the new Jackie O, but I certainly put them on the same footing.
Ok.
Banana Republic caught my eye with this dress. I want it; nay, need it. It says warm breezy evening, rushing off to a midnight beach party. It also makes me want champagne. The color is stunning. Welcome back into the game BR!
This is both a dress and a color that cannot be ignored. The shape! The structure!! The color. I want to mess up her hair though. I seem to be really stepping out of my box here; first Banana Republic, now Calvin Klein... But this dress is absolutely stunning.
Is this a bathing suit? A unitard? Whatever it is, it's beautiful. I would suffer bad tan lines and barracuda to wear this Pucci stunner.
Here lies a piece that has captured my heart. Wholesome but skimpy...it works.
Here are s few more:

Hairy Boots
I bought my ghd hair straightener a while back, but I haven't really posted the results! I love this thing.. here are a few photos:
Before:
After:
Before the ghd, I had a straightener that actually steamed your hair straight...Needless to say, I'm never going back to that. The ghd is ah-mazing. Highly recommended!
Also, I am currently on the hunt for the perfect pair of knee high leather boots. I am so picky, that when I say "currently on the hunt" I really mean "for the last 2 years". I have found a pair by Jeffrey Campbell that I love, but am not quite sure about:
What do you think? I think that over time they could get that "weathered" look, which I would love.

Polished
For those who have been around me lately (or have been receiving my texts), it has become quite apparent that I have become obsessed with nail polish. It's become at little ridiculous. O.P.I. is my polish of choice, and whenever I buy another brand, I feel guilty. Essie in my humble opinion, is nothing I want on my nails, while Creative Nail Design is okay. I keep hearing wonderful things about China Glaze's "jellys" but have yet to try one. Also, Chanel's Kaleidoscope is a cult favorite.
Here are some of the colors I have recently purchased:

Top to bottom:
Charged up cherry (very bright!)
O.P.I. Ink
Russian Navy
Eiffel For This Color
I have also recently bought (but couldn't find images for):
I'm Not Really A Waitress
Light My Saffire
Sheer Your Toys
Brand New Skates
and Shift Power (Essie color, and not so fond of it. Moment of weakness...)
So there you have it ladies! Right now I have my eye on An Affair in Red Square. Can't wait!!

She's back!
Aaah My lovelies!!
I am sorry that I have been gone for so long. Turns out that I'll be graduating college this year, and life has been a whirlwind. Will I survive?
I discovered the most adorable little vintage shop right under my nose the other day. Amazing. The store doesn't have a sign, but it does have 6 doorknobs. Victor and Victoria run it, and they are from the Former USSR .
I bought a beautiful beautiful white rabbit fur vest for $25. I'll be going back for a vintage purse and belt soon.
Look what else I found 2 doors down, at Skirt Chaser Vintage:
A 1950's satin dress! The picture doesn't do it justice unfortunately. The color really just glows. It reminded me of Alexander McQueen's green dress from Fall 2005. The cinched in waist, and the big poofy hips; very Alexander.
